Miro’s work has been described as “surreal”, a “sandbox for the subconscious mind” and a “manifestation of Catalan pride”. The second clock is inspired by “Kiss”, a painting by British “Op” artist Bridget Riley. She made a name for herself in the 60s with her dramatic and moody black and white works.
